Another iconic animation film is "The Beauty and the Beast", which was released in 1991 by Walt Disney Pictures. It had a vast impact on the society thanks to its combination of brilliant songs, complete characters and incredible messages which we will talk about them later on. Nowadays, this movie has a remake with real people as characters. However, we are going to focus on the first one, which is the pioneer which brought the messages we want to talk about. Firstly, we are going to tell how is the story for those who , amazingly, still don't know it.

A young prince, who is really selfish, is cursed by a mysterious enchantress to having the appearance of a monstrous beast. His only solution is to learn to love a young woman. If he doesn't earn her love in return, he won't transform into himself again. Years later, he has a chance when a young woman called Belle visits his castle in order to save his father, who had been locked there. She offers to take her ill father's place as his prisoner and she hates the beast. However, all start to change with help from the castle's enchanted staff. As a result, Belle learns to appreciate her captor and immediately falls in love with him even if his appearance isn't attractive at all.

But everything is never as easy as it seems. Gaston, an animal and... young girls hunter, tries to marry Bella, but she doesn't love him. Then, Gaston decides to eliminate the beast from his sight to be able to take control of the young woman. In the end, when Bella kisses the beast and cries over him, he transforms his self into his real appearance.

Here is one of the most important messages of this movie: The beauty is on the inside. Before knowing the real appearance of the prince, Bella falls in love with him. That's why the enchantress wanted the beast to be loved, to show that people can be loved regardless of its image, since beauty is inside.

Another idea that the film wants to convey is that the power of love is capable of saving and transform people. In the beginning, the beast acts with cruelty and violence. However, he starts to act with more affection and kindness. This shows us, the spectators, that with love everyone can change their attitudes.
